Definition of Giving Instructions
Giving Instruction is an expression that is used in order that other people or person does what we instruct or request.
*Jadi, Giving Instructions adalah suatu cara untuk memerintah atau menginstruksikan seseorang.
The Expressions :
- Open your book!
- Turn off the lamp!
- Cover the food!
- Close the window!
- Pass me the sugar, please!
If you don’t use adverb as a commanding word, you have to use Be + Adjective or Be + Noun Phrase.
Examples:
- Be quiet, please!
- Be your self!
- Be happy!
- Be a good girl / boy!
When you forbid someone to do something, you have to use Don’t + Verb Infinitive Without to
Examples:
- Don’t move!
- Don’t cry!
- Don’t do that!
- Don’t love her/him!
- Don’t make it wrong!
Examples of Dialogue :
Pingkan : Aya, have you sliced the garlic ?
Aya : Yes, i have. so, what should i do then ? Pingkan : Then, put one slice on the glass, please !
